The Dodge County treasurer is highlighting tax foreclosure. Kris Keith urges taxpayers with unpaid 2021 taxes to get them paid before they face tax foreclosure. She notes that September 1st each year is when the foreclosure process starts in earnest for real estate parcels with three-years-old unpaid taxes.

If those taxes remain unpaid, the county will take the property in spring of 2025 which is outlined in state statutes. Keith says although her office does not make payment plans, they do take partial payments and if taxpayers need help calculating their own payment plan they can assist them.
